47 denim

The following is an explanation of 47 denim.

47 denim was planned and made by a fabric store in Okayama. It is what we call an analysis and reproduction type denim.
The denim is made by analyzing the dyeing, yarn, yarn thickness, unevenness, and weaving of vintage denim from the 1947.

Please see the photo. All are in washed condition.

The unevenness is not exaggerated, and the focus is on reproducing the vintage look.

The colored thread of the selvedge is a light pink. As is typical of reproduction denim, the denim is woven in right twill until the very end.

If you look closely, you will find a brownish nep. This is because there is a small amount of cotton leaf debris mixed in.

To compare the color, I took a picture of it with other denim.
The 53XX on the right is a vintage fabric from my own LEVI’S 501XX made around 1953.

Please watch the video for a better understanding of the fabric texture.

You can see that 47 denim is a denim with a blue tone.
You can see that 47 denim is a denim with a blue tone.
And the tone of the blue color is quite close to the vintage fabric of LEVI’S 501XX (1953).

The ounce is 13.7 oz.
